the thing the game is supposed to be about. spending waaay more time than needed pretending to be sherlock holmes figuring out the very bad "clues." imagine if you implemented these hunts but included fishing. these extremely tedious scavenger hunts aka main mission are ridiculous. Originally posted by Wilbur:I buy a fishing game to fish. if you help me you get this reel." something like that. why cant this be missions that involve fishing like "i give you this rod if you prove worthy by catching these 3/5/? fish for me" or "i want to know something about ? population in this lake. So you basically have three quests which reward you with fishing gear where there is no fishing involved apart from the final parts where you should use the new equipment to catch a fish. Not to mention you have to climb a mountain with no path for the third quest. i only completed it today thanks to a threat which explained where to go. on the third quest i stopped because it was just saying something about jommersbyrt (or so) and i had no idea where that should be. while the first and the last one are simple, the 2nd and 3rd clue are so confusing that ive spent at least an hour on each despite being at the right spot, just because the area was so big and split by water where there was no way to pass it. On the second quest you have to go to different points around the lake. after that i personally didnt know where to use the key and just wandered around blindly. you have to go in the cave where you get the key. the first quest is still ok because it shows you the outposts. There is no story progression so all these quests are really something other to do than fishing. I don't find the quests tedious in any way. I was doing the stallo fishing pole quest and i stopped at multiple locations on the way to fish. I wish they fleshed out the mountains with wildlife, outside of just audible cues. It's promoting exploration where we wouldn't normally go.
